In Synja Khanty, the number of categories that could be coded on a verb form is six: tense, mood, voice, markers of the number of the object and the person and number of the subject. The verb form can specify tense, the person and number of the subject and the number of the object (1). If the verb is marked for voice, markers of tense, person and number of the subject, and number of the object also appear on the verb form (2). If the verb is marked for mood (3), the verb form also specifies the person and number of the subject and the number of the object (cf. Onina 2009: 33˗43).
