In Hungarian, adpositions with nominal (1) or pronominal (2) arguments are postpositional. Some postpositions (e.g. túl ‘over’, együtt ‘together’, át ‘through/over’, keresztül ‘through’) can precede their base nouns or pronouns, however the word order is not neutral in those constructions (cf. Balogh 2000d).
