In the Hungarian ditransitive construction, the agent, the theme and the recipient are coded by different case endings. The agent is unmarked, the theme takes the -t accusative suffix, while the recipient is marked by the -nak/-nek dative case ending. Both nominal and pronominal suffixes take the dative suffix (cf. Kenesei et al. 1998: 70‒71, 288).
