Marking function R on pronouns (Hungarian)

RAff: The function R is marked with the use of an affix (prefix or suffix).

(1) ad-ok neked egy csoki-t.

give-prs.1sg you.dat a chocolate-acc

‘I’m giving you chocolate.’

In the Hungarian ditransitive construction, the agent, the theme and the recipient are coded by different case endings. The agent is unmarked, the theme takes the -t accusative suffix, while the recipient is marked by the -nak/-nek dative case ending. Both nominal and pronominal suffixes take the dative suffix (cf. Kenesei et al. 1998: 70‒71, 288).
