Syncretism in the verbal paradigm (Northern Mansi)

SyncSP: Verbs show person and number agreement with the subject; the paradigm includes syncretic forms.

In Northern Mansi, the verb form reflects the number (Sg, Du, Pl) and person (1. 2. 3.) of the subject, tense (present, past), mood (indicative, imperative, conditional, precative), voice (active, passive), and conjugation type (subjective/indeterminate, objective/determinate). In the objective (determinate) conjugation, the number of the object is also specified. (Kálmán 1976, Riese 2001)

The verb forms in the second person are syncretistic in every tense, voice, mood, and conjugation type (table 1., based on Kálmán 1976: 56).
