Sym: Standard negation is symmetric.

(1a) mač qō məŋ-ati jowət.

guest man we-dat arrive.pst.3sg

‘A guest has arrived to us.’ (L. N. K.)

(1b) mač qō məŋ-ati əntə jowət.

visitor man we-dat neg arrive.pst.3sg

‘We don’t have visitors.’ (L. N. K.)

Negative sentences only differ from affirmative sentences in a way that they entail the negative particle (әntә).
