Case syncretism of personal pronouns (Synja Khanty)

PPNoSyncCase: The number of casemarked forms of personal pronouns differs from that of nouns, but none are syncretic.

Nouns have three cases in Synja Khanty: the unmarked nominative, the locative, and the lative. Pronouns, however, have four cases: the nominative, the accusative-dative, the locative, and the lative (cf. Honti 1984: 60−65, 70−72, Onina 2009: 23−28, 30). Since personal pronouns have more cases than nouns, the case-marking system of personal pronouns cannot be syncretistic in Synja Khanty.
