In Synja Khanty, both nominal and verbal categories have singular, dual and plural forms. Nouns in every case forms can be used with all three numbers, as can personal, interrogative, and demonstrative pronouns. Similarly, the possessed can have three number forms in possessive constructions. In the verbal conjugation, both definite and indefinite paradigms code the three numbers (cf. Onina 2009, Honti 1984).
