In Synja Khanty, morphological causation is coded by the derivation suffix –lal (-l, -alt, -pt, -t; cf. Nikolaeva 1999a 29‒30, 40, Honti 1984: 55). If the arguments of the construction are expressed by nominals (2), they take the nominal case (S. O.).
